Mares Horizon - Protection Cap Set

Keep your Mares Horizon safe and clean with this 6 piece custom-designed protection cap set! Perfect for preventing small animals like salamanders, bugs or flies etc. from entering your machine while drying. We personally experienced that sometimes you have to dry outside and we almost had a salamander in one of our units.

Key features:

• Protection: Designed with a stainless steel mesh to block even the smallest flies and creatures from entering, while allowing as much as 60% of the original airflow, you don't want your unit to become a moist and warm breeding ground for bacteria.
• Durable Materials: Even though this product is 3D printend the materials chosen still make it durable. These caps are printed using PET-G (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) which is known for its high chemical resistance and durability, it won't melt in direct sun light. Although we generally recommend to always dry in the shade.
• Loop ends protected: The caps for the breathing loop not only close them for bugs and creatures, but also protected the end very well including the thinner plastic ring of the connector.

• 2x Loop hole protection caps (left and right)
  

The only color currently available is red, which fits the Horizon very well.

The 'Loop hole proteciton caps' come with EPDM o-rings installed, it is not recommended to use these o-rings for any other purposes then these caps.

Note:

These protection caps are designed exclusively for use during drying and are not intended for use during dives or anything else. Please also keep in mind that these caps are 3d-printed, so while they are fully functional and durable, the surface finish may not be perfect and could have minor imperfections typical of 3D-printed items.

Depending on when you order, you may recieve gray 'loop end' and 'loop hole' protection caps. These are for the right side of the Horizon (as these are also gray on the Horizon itself and allow for easier distinguishing of the two sides).
